This video was designed several years ago by the Navy for their own purposes, but 95% of it applies to our training too. Our training is as close as possible to actual Navy Recruit Training. Note: Cadets are not permitted to participate in any live-fire weapons training, although they will receive training in a marksmanship simulator under close supervision of Navy personnel. Your cadets will get the same training provided by Recruit Division Commanders that a Navy Recruit receives. This video is your only look at what your cadets will experience, unless you are attached to the staff, you're not permitted to visit any part of the base with the exception of dropping them off and attending graduation.
RTC Great Lakes is a restricted access base; active duty/reservists and Sea Cadet officers not attached to the training are not permitted aboard the base except for Intake Day and Graduation, and then only in restricted areas.
